BALLAD CITIES

The Journey

 Ballad Cities travels across:

  1. Appalachian Kentucky and the wider American South
  2. The Scottish Highlands, Islands, and coasts
  3. The valleys of Wales
  4. The lanes of Ireland
  5. The parishes and borderlands of England
  6. and Northern Ireland

The land is never background.

Every hill remembers.
Every glen listens.
Every holler keeps score.

Old sins, revivals, oaths, feuds, covenants, and buried promises cling to the soil like fog — shaping the families who live upon it.

Across six nations and six Ballads, six shadows move beneath six songs.

This is not scenery.

It is inheritance.

TO THAT INHERITANCE WE ARE TAKING THE OLD STORY TO  NEW GENERATION.

What Lives Inside Ballad Cities

  1. Six Ballad volumes — one for each nation.
  2. Six Margins companions — journals, fragments, archives, the unseen layer.

A real broadcast carrying the voice of the road.

  • A real ministry root.
  • Real devotionals.
  • Real book gatherings.
  • Sermons, prayers, maps, travel logs, confessions.
  • All converging under one calling.

Not as expansion.

As return.

Why This Journey Is Different

Because this road has been walked before.

Because this road has been walked before.

Years ago, cities were crossed one by one — publicly, physically, imperfectly. Miles were driven. Squares were addressed. Doors were knocked. Some opened. Many did not.

The maps remain. Some complete. Some fragmentary. Some still waiting.

The First Walk

https://66cities.wordpress.com/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">In 2011, sixty-six cities were travelled across Britain and Ireland. It was imperfect, improvised, and often exhausting. The maps were hand-drawn. The doors were not always open.  The road was walked anyway.
Ballad Cities grows from that first obedience.
This is not the beginning. It is the return.

sO, Ballad Cities is not a new idea.

It is unfinished business.

The first journey moved fast and wide.

This one moves slow and deep.

  • Six nations.
  • Six narrative volumes.
  • Six shadow companions.

Twelve books that do not invent geography — they return to it.

This is not world-building. It is resurrection.

There is nothing else like it.

Six Nations · One Epic Journey

Ballad Cities is a twelve-year road across six nations — Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Ireland, and the United States.

It is not a travel guide.

It is not a franchise.

It is a long obedience across land and memory,  and a movement toward horizons once sketched.

Each nation is given time. Each place is listened to. Each story is allowed to breathe.

This is not speed. It is obedience.

Two Lines Per Nation

Each nation carries two volumes:

Ballad Cities

The sung narrative — the public road.

Margins

The companion journal — documents, fragments, unseen material.  The reverse-colour seal. The echo.

Twelve books. - Not mirrors. - Companions.

The Pilgrim — Reverend Victor Robert Farrell

This work is not written from a distance.

A  real preacher, writer, and broadcaster

  • The   only man to preach from all 66 books of the Bible, in 66 cities, in 66      days, covering 6,600 miles
  • A   man who has lived and worked across the UK and North America, especially      the American South
  • A  Christian contrarian — resisting shallow religion and cultural conformity      while clinging fiercely to Christ.

The man behind Ballad Cities has stood in rain-soaked squares, spoken on cathedral steps, slept uncertain of the next night’s bed, and driven long roads wondering what would happen next.

Ballad Cities is not authored from safety.

It is written by one who walks. Not to dominate. Not to conquer. But to return.

The calling has not changed. The garments have.

A Road, Not a Universe Six Nations. One Long Obedience.

Six Nations. One Long Obedience.

Ballad Cities is not an imagined cosmos.

It is a return to land already walked — and a movement toward land not yet reached.

  • Each nation is given its own volume.
  • Each volume carries its own shadow companion.

The journey is structured — but it is not manufactured.

This is not a digital universe.

It is geography treated as sacred ground.

A Calling Lived in Public

Ballad Cities unfolds in daylight.

It draws from mapped routes, unfinished plans, and real-world foundations — including a living radio presence, a real bookshop, and the wider 66 Books ministry.

But these are not branding extensions.

They are infrastructure for a calling.

This work does not float above the real world.

  • It stands inside it.
  • It walks its streets.
  • It keeps going.

 A Voice That Travels

The last journey relied on the kindness of other broadcasters and borrowed platforms.  This time, the road carries its own signal. Kingdom.Rocks is not decoration.  It is transmission.

  • Interviews from the street.
  • Sermons shaped by miles.
  • Devotions born from early mornings in unfamiliar rooms.
  • Travel logs.
  • Observations. Conversations.
  • Music from across these six nations.

What happens on tthe he pavement does not disappear.

It is carried. From city square to studio. From studio to speaker. From speaker to home.

The road speaks.- And it keeps speaking.

The road speaks.

And it keeps speaking.

It is carried from street to studio, and from studio to home.

Across six nations. And beyond.

A Bookshop With an Address

At the heart of Ballad Cities stands a bookshop/media outlet at VictorRobert.LTD

Along the road, there is a real front door.O

VictorRobert.LTD serves as the living counterpart to Burning Lamp — where readers can obtain the works that emerge from the road itself.

Not merchandise.

Not novelty.

But volumes that carry the same voice.

And other works born from the City Ballads & The Ballad Dodecet.

The line between story and street is not erased.

It is walked across.

The Burning Lamp Book Club

Within the narrative, the characters gather to discuss what they are reading.

In the real world, that gathering continues.

Each week, the Burning Lamp Book Club meets through the WLMP and Kingdom.Rocks broadcast — exploring books the road recommends and inviting listeners to read along.

The conversations do not remain fictional.

A, there is a real front door.y continue.

Publications From the Road

Additional works rise from within the wider Ballad world:

Reflections, field notes, interviews, devotional writings, cultural commentary, and music features — each shaped by the same landscape and the same calling.

These are not spin-offs.

They are tributaries.

And they flow from the same source.

The 66 Books Ministry

YES! it actually exists accross these six continents

The 66 Books Ministry — Theology Crossing Into Lore

Inside the story:
The 66 Books Ministry appears as a presence, a voice, and sometimes a warning.

Outside the story:
66Books.tv is a real, functioning mission — preaching, teaching, and distributing Scripture globally.

This dual presence creates another bridge where readers can:

  • Learn the doctrine behind the fiction
  • Hear  sermons that echo inside the books
  • Engage  devotionally with the same themes characters wrestle with
