The Ballad Dodecet™ is a twelve-book narrative universe — six interlocking Ballads and six documentary-style Fan-Books — spanning six nations and three decades. From the mist and peat of the Celtic North to the hollers and backroads of Appalachia, the Dodecet weaves a long story of grit, grace, judgment, contrition, consequence, and redemption, running from 1998 into the early 2030s.
Each Ballad stands alone. All twelve sing together — one epic song in twelve movements.

The foundation stone of the Dodecet is Instructional Fiction. We are building a whole ecosystem of narrative infrastructures — songs, sermons, radio broadcasts, character journals, devotionals —
that train perception, shape worldview, and offer spiritual formation through story. That is Instructional Fiction in the purest, modern sense.
Formally: Instructional Fiction is a narrative form that deliberately weaves teaching, spiritual formation, and practical wisdom into the story world — using plot, character, environment, music, and parallel materials —
to instruct the reader while immersing them in a fully developed fictional universe.
In The Ballad Dodecet:
The Ballads carry the lives — the fights, failures, faith, and fallout.
The Fan-Books carry the evidence — diaries, letters, prayers, police files, sermons, lyrics, scraps of truth and fuller character back stories.
Songs, devotionals, sermons, workbooks, and radio content run parallel to the novels, forming hearts as they entertain minds. It becomes a 30-year multimedia liturgy — story, sound, Scripture, and song, all working together over time.
