"Purple Robert is the performance poetry persona of Reverend Victor Robert Farrell, a preacher, poet, and broadcaster known for his 'Night Whispers' devotionals. With a mission to spread the Gospel and a flair for spoken word, he blends faith and artistry into every performance.
Purple Robert has been performing as a poet for around 40 years, sharing his craft across both the United States and the UK. He’s performed in schools on both sides of the Atlantic, taken the stage at various competitions and poetry festivals, and published six volumes of poetry. Among these is 'Seven Poems to Seven Churches,' a poetic exploration of the first three chapters of Revelation.
From his poetry, he has crafted numerous Christian hymns and songs, all rooted in his honest and down-to-earth lyrics. He’s known for speaking openly about life’s challenges—the ups and downs, the pains and glories of being fully human—in a way that real people can relate to. As a Christian contrarian, he cuts through religious fluff and encourages people to be real—just like Jesus did.

Moreover, Purple Robert is the founder of the Purple Poets Club, a unique initiative that draws aspiring poets into the performance poetry arena. His method, proven in both the UK and the USA, has helped uncover and mentor remarkable lyricists and poets. Through the Purple Poets Club, he’s had the privilege of walking alongside new talents as they find their own voice on stage."

Purple Robert’s words don’t just fill rooms—they linger long after, like sparks still glowing in the ashes. His poetry is more than performance; it’s testimony, protest, prayer, and laughter all in one breath. Whether whispered in a chapel, shouted in a school hall, or scrawled in a midnight notebook, his voice insists that truth must be told, however raw. For Purple Robert, the stage isn’t a spotlight—it’s a battleground where words fight for hope.
